Looking for an easy Easter treat to make your little ones? I’ve got just the recipe for you – and it’s as easy and adorable as can be, requiring just a can of cinnamon roll dough. But if you’re feeling adventurous, I’ve also included instructions for making your own cinnamon rolls and icing from scratch.
To start off, if you’re using store-bought cinnamon rolls to create these adorable Cinnabunnies, preheat your oven as directed on the package. Then, simply separate and unroll the cinnamon rolls to begin shaping them into bunnies.
Using your hands, shape the dough into an M, forming bunny ears by pulling the outer ends out and up. Press down between the two ears and on the outside to secure them to the round part of the cinnamon roll.
For a visual guide, feel free to check out my IG Reel for a step-by-step tutorial.
Once shaped, transfer your Cinnabunnies to a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions. When they’re done, remove them from the oven and drizzle with icing while still warm. For an extra festive touch, add some sprinkles.
Finally, it’s time to enjoy your sweet creations! If you give this easy Easter treat a try, I’d love to hear what you and your little ones think in the comments below. Happy baking!

Instructions
Cinnamon Roll Dough (skip if using store bought)

- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Slowly add the yeast and lukewarm milk mixture. Add egg and mix.
- Gradually add in 1 cup of flower while kneading (by hand or with mixer) until dough forms a ball and pulls away from edges of the bowl.
- Let dough rest for 10 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°.
Shaping Cinnabunnies
- If you're using store bought can, unroll 2 rolls in lieu of the next step.If you're making from scratch, roll the rough into a rectangle and cut into 2/3 and 1/3. Combine cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle on top.
- Cut into strips, roll and seal (pinching your fingers with water) the larger side of the roll.
- Cut the smaller portion into strips folding each side to meet the middle. Seal by pinching with water. Do the same to adhere both pieces together creating bunnies.
- Cover rolls in 1/4 cup of heaving cream. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until slightly golden.
Icing
- Mix icing ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle over rolls.
