Meet Oxzonna
Hi! I’m Oxzonna, a former social media private investigator turned entrepreneur. Welcome to my blog where I share pieces of my life from scrunchy motherhood, Montessori parenting and mindful living to beauty, fashion, recipes and traveling.
First things first, let’s clear up the name confusion! Yep, it’s Ox-zon-nuh. And while my name may have Russian origins, I couldn’t tell you if I’m Russian myself. Fun fact: I was named after the legendary Olympic ice skater, Oksana Baiul.
I am a mama of two boys, Miles (age 4) and Jasper (age 1). Being able to stay home with them full-time while pursuing my entrepreneurial dreams is a blessing I don’t take for granted!
Before diving headfirst into the chaos of motherhood, I was knee-deep in the world of Criminal Justice studies. But fate had other plans, and COVID turned my maternity leave into a longer-than-expected hiatus. And let me tell you, those extra moments with Miles were priceless.
As my leave drew to a close, I faced a dilemma: how could I stay home full-time with my little one and still make ends meet? Enter social media. What started as casual posting soon turned into a lucrative side hustle, with brands paying me for posts. But it wasn’t until a ThriftStore offered me $250 and store credit for a collaboration that I realized the true potential of this gig.
Meanwhile, my passion for crystals and metaphysics was brewing. After years of dreaming, I took the leap and launched my own crystal shop. And boy, did it take off! Suddenly, I was making more than I ever did as a licensed P.I. – all while being my own boss and soaking up every moment with Miles.
But here’s the plot twist – as my social media presence grew, I found myself pulled in two different directions. Juggling the demands of my crystal business and the ever-expanding world of content creation was taking its toll on my mental health. So, I made the tough decision to step back from the crystal biz and focus on nurturing my online presence and, most importantly, my well-being after I had my second son, Jasper.
Fast forward to today, I’m living my best life as a full-time creator. Social media isn’t just a job – it’s a passion that fuels my soul and provides the freedom to create unforgettable memories with my family.
